Growing up in 80’s

From an early age, my brothers and I loved the primetime TV Shows of the Late 70’s early 80’s; The Fall Guy, Dukes Of Hazzard, The A-Team, Airwolf, Hardcastle and McCormick, Knight Rider, and the list goes on and on.  The Iconic TV shows, Cartoons, and Movies from the 80’s is what we grew up on.  The toy industry sure knew how to make toys back then and made toys for just about everything seen on TV.

Collecting and Nostalgia

I have been collecting since I was little, whether it was Baseball cards, Football cards, Garbage Pail Kids, Baseball Sticker books, Coins, etc.  Colelcting continued into adulthood, collecting US Navy History and heritage items, Navy Coins, and Dueks Of hazzard.  Unfortunately, I didn't keep most of my childhood toy and collections, only a few survived that were boxed away in my parent’s basement.  I always had this sense of nostalgia when seeing something from my childhood, often times I found myself buying Dukes of Hazzard items, which was my favorite TV show growing up.  Then in 2006 following a deployment to Iraq, I started getting more serious about collecting Dukes of Hazzard items.  Since then I’ve been collecting in between deployments and enjoying the Dukes Of Hazzard community.  I have been active many of the Dukes Of Hazzard FB groups for a majority of that time.  I passed the collecting bug onto my 9yr old, he has been collecting Ghostbusters for the past 4 years.

Selling

I recently retired from the US Navy following a 25-year career and decided I needed to find something productive to do with my time.  My wife noticed how much I enjoyed speaking with people about 80’s Nostalgia and Dukes of Hazzard.  She suggested I start a business where I could sell some extra/duplicate items as well as use it as a platform to converse and share information with collectors.  In September 2022 I attended Hazzard Fest and had such a blast meeting fellow Dukes Fans.  I look foward to seeing ya'll at a festival in the future, I am scheduled to be at Hazzard Fest 2023 in Newport, TN.
